Summer is finally here and in Baker County, that means the summer music festival season is about to begin with festivals schedule throughout the county over the summer and into the early fall.
Here are a few of our favorite upcoming music festivals you won’t want to miss when you visit Baker County this summer.
The Powder River Music Review
Sunday afternoons 2-4 p.m. in Baker City’s historic Geiser Pollman Park along the banks of the Powder River. This year’s performers include a spectacular line up of local and regional musicians from throughout the Northwest including : Joni Harms, Kathy Boyd Phoenix Rising, Briana Renea,
Frank Carlson, Johnny and the Lawbreakers, and the Baker City Drum and Bugle Corps.

Clear Creek Music Festival
Celebrate a half-decade of music making July 10-24 in Halfway!
This year’s program includes expanded possibilities for community participation: a new Clear Creek Junior Piano Festival for pianists ages
8-12 from July 8th to 14th, the Community/Festival Chorus performing works of John Rutter and J.S. Bach, continuing “Conversations on the
Arts” sessions discussing the creative process and music to be performed on the concerts, three concerts by faculty and the university-level
Festival students, informal performances on the Main Street Stage, and the world-première of a piece for cello and piano by composer-in-
residence Dr. Blaise Ferrandino, the first of a multi-part series entitled “Scenes from the Oregon Trail.” Private and group instruction is also available to area residents.
All Clear Creek Music Festival concerts are open to the public.

The Main Street Stage outdoor concerts in Halfway
Located in Pat’s Park in the heart of downtown Halfway, Oregon, the Main Street Stage offers a variety of concerts and
performances throughout the summer.

Celebrate National Day of the Cowboy Concert
What a great way to celebrate the American Cowboy, June 25th, than this outdoor concert at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Baker City featuring Mary Kaye Knaphus against a back drop of the Oregon Trail wagon encampment, overlooking the Elkhorn Mountains and the Oregon Trail as it runs through the Baker Valley.For more information click here.
Music in the Meadow in Sumpter
Located on the lawn at the Sumpter Valley Railroad’s Sumpter Station this two day music festival August 15th and 16th, is all about family fun and you
can even ride the train to the festival. Performers for this year’s Music in the Meadow include Frank Carlson, Mad Cassidy, and local favorite the
High Desert Renegades to name just a few.

The third annual Pine Fest Music Festival September 11th and 12th at the Pine Valley Fairgrounds in Halfway Oregon, featuring great
music from bands based in the Pacific Northwest.
An eclectic mix of genres, including, bluegrass, rock’n roll, country, blues, funk, and original singer-songwriters! Concert goers will
also enjoy great food, arts and crafts, beer and wine.
