The 57th annual Hell’s Canyon Junior Rodeo in Halfway, Oregon, is sponsored by Hell’s Canyon Riders, a non-profit organization promoting the development of youth rodeo contestants in the spirit of fair competition and good sportsmanship.

Haines Stampede Rodeo July 3-4

If you’re a rodeo fan there’s no better way to celebrate the fourth of July than the Haines Stampede Rodeo.

One of Baker County’s oldest rodeo events the Stampede offers  great old fashion rodeo action with quality stock and real cowboys, traditional rodeo events including barrel racing, roping, mutton busting, and rough stock events bronc and bull riding.  Admission at the gate varies by date and event. This event concludes with the annual Haines 4th of July fireworks display.

Baker City Bronc and Bull Riding July 17-18

Two days of action packed rodeo in Baker City.  Friday night it’s all bronc riding and Saturday is all bull riding. Tickets $15 per night general admission or $40 both nights reserved seating.

The bronc riding consists of thirty-five contestants vying for $25,000 in prize money. Each contestant participates in the first go-round with the top ten by score advancing to the second go-round, and then, the top five in the second go advance to championship round. 50 rides – one day – great action and excitement. The bull riding consists of 40 contestants vying for $25,000 in prize money. Each contestant participates in the first go-round with the top ten advancing to the championship round. Fast paced – dangerous – adrenalin pumping.

The Baker City Bronc & Bull Riding is known throughout the rodeo world for its quality production coming from the outstanding roughstock from Flying Five & Big Bend rodeo companies; contestants from the U.S., Canada, and Australia; and the prize money that makes the competitors put out their best effort. Admisison all ages There are beer gardens for adults each day opening one hour before the events and continuing until 1:00 a.m. each night.

Baker County Fair and Panhandle Rodeo September 5-7

What better way to end your summer than this traditional County Fair celebrating the region’s agricultural heritage including, FHA livestock show, PCA Rodeo, horse show, parade, and craft exhibits. Activities throughout the town of Halfway and the Halfway Fair and Rodeo Grounds over the Labor Day weekend including Monday.

ICA Rodeo action starts on Saturday at 7:00 PM (Pre Rodeo at 6:30pm) and continues on both Sunday at 7:00 PM ( Pre Rodeo at 6:30 PM) and Monday at 2:00 PM (Pre Rodeo at 1:30 pm). The Ranch Style Bronc Riding is a favorite event here, as well as the Mule Races during the rodeo performances and of course the one of a kind Mule Chariot Roping.

There will be seven Idaho Cowboy Association events featuring some of the top cowboys in the Pacific Northwest competing in the Championship Rodeo season.

And, as always, fair and rodeo fans will again enjoy a Midway filled with music, vendors, concessions, along with games for the kids.

Fans will need to purchase a $4.00 Baker County Fair and Panhandle Rodeo button to enter the grounds which will be good for the entire weekend. Ticket are $8.00 for our evening Rodeo performances on Saturday and Sunday and $8.00 for Rodeo mid-day performance on Monday (children 12 and under are free on Monday).
