Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre Presents, An Inspector CallsTHE STORY: In an English industrial city, a young girl commits suicide and an inspector calls on an eminently respectable British family, subject to a routine inquiry in connection with the death. The family, closely knit and friendly on the surface, is shown up as selfish, self-centered or cowardly, and during the course of the inspector’s questioning, all members of the group are implicated lightly or deeply in the girl’s undoing. Produced in London and New York. According to Variety, the play is a psychologically adept work and “an engaging play… Its mood is sustained throughout, so that it is practically always interesting.” Though ostensibly a remarkably clear and effective dramatic play, there underlies the whole thing an air of mystic unreality. AN INSPECTOR CALLS is an effective presentation of the strange twists that take place in human beings when their consciences are affected..

Baker City Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run
Annual Run/Walk to Feed the Hungry 5k Turkey Trot. Come out Thanksgiving morning to help feed the hungry in Baker County before sitting down to your own Thanksgiving dinners.
More than 500 participants run this annual holiday 5k fun run in Baker City each Thanksgiving morning making it one of the largest Thanksgiving Day fun runs in Oregon. Proceeds from the run benefit the North East Oregon Compassion Center and help support the local food bank.
Turkeys start trotting at 9 a.m. in front of Kicks Sportswear, Corner of Main and Valley
